Our Story
It started in 1986 Houston Texas...
“We are proud of our students, our teachers, and our long established culture at Viet Ngu Hung Vuong School in Houston.”
Who We Are
In the beginning, VNHV was held at Rice University with about 30 students from 6 to 15 years old. With the number of students and increasing demand, VNHV officially moved to St. John's University. Thomas in 1988. After many years of building, the school has transformed itself into a center for solid Vietnamese teaching with many dedicated volunteer teachers up to K-9.
In 2006, VNHV moved to Houston Community College (HCC) Central in downtown Houston and continued the tradition of teaching Vietnamese and spreading Vietnamese culture to this day.
What We Do
Our mission is to promote Vietnamese language, culture and heritage and to help young people enrich their lives through exposure to Vietnamese culture so that they can become successful and productive members of society. In essence, our goal is to teach our students the Vietnamese language, its rich culture and heritage, work ethics, and moral values. Additionally, our school is also open to all individuals in the community who are strongly interested in learning more about Vietnamese language and culture in order to enhance their personal or professional interests.
